OUR APPROACH

Holistic Care for Survivors, Systemic Change for Communities

AWSAD’s work is built on four interconnected pillars: immediate shelter, capacity building, economic empowerment, and emergency response.

Have Any Questions?

AWSAD provides holistic, integrated care through our network of six safe houses. We go beyond temporary shelter by addressing all aspects of a survivor’s recovery—psychological counseling, legal aid, medical care, education, and vocational training—to ensure long-term healing and independence.

We believe prevention is key. Through community mobilization programs like the SASA approach and by training law enforcement, teachers, and community leaders, we tackle the harmful social norms that cause gender-based violence, creating safer environments for everyone.

We value strategic partnerships! You can support us by providing funding, technical expertise, or by helping to strengthen our referral pathways. Please contact us directly to discuss how we can collaborate to end gender-based violence in Ethiopia.
