capacity building

Strengthening Systems To Prevent Violence

AWSAD builds the capacity of government institutions, community leaders, and frontline responders to create a survivor-centered ecosystem. Our training and sensitization programs empower entire communities to protect women’s rights and prevent gender-based violence sustainably.

Training Law Enforcement & Police

We provide targeted training for law enforcement officers and the police force, ensuring effective, respectful, and survivor-friendly responses to gender-based violence cases.

Collaborating With Government Bureaus

AWSAD works closely with Women and Children Affairs Bureaus at federal and regional levels to strengthen policy implementation and service coordination for survivors.

Sensitizing Legal Professionals

We train public prosecutors and legal personnel to handle GBV cases with trauma-informed approaches, helping to navigate the legal system and secure justice for survivors.

Engaging Schools & Communities

Our programs sensitize teachers, school leadership, parents, and students to create safer educational environments and challenge the social norms that permit violence.
